📌We reviewed our By-laws and reconstructed the PTA into the Executive Board, Standing Committees and Special Committees.

📌We hosted a screening of “Screenagers” for nearly 200 community members. Lake Travis Officer, Lisa Lucas and Sydney Dickerson from “Good Mourning Counseling” both spoke about the affects of technology on our children.

📌We had speakers such as Lauren Greenberg from Good Mourning Counseling Center to the PTA about teen suicide, and Angela Carey from LISD ADAPT program talk about Alcoholic & Drugs.

📌We were able to grant several teachers requests such as new drying racks for Ms. Blevins art class, Mouthpiece Visualizers for all the brass players in Band, Social Study Atlas’s for Ms. Wadsworth and Ms. Betancourts 6th grade classes. Magnets for Ms. Beasley’s science classes for the 8th grade, which she has since said has helped improved test scores in the classroom! YAY!

📌A big thank you to all the parents for their contribution of box tops. We were able to donate $2,250 to the Library. WAY TO GO!

📌We created 2 new committees: Healthy Lifestyles and International Committee, and held our first International week with the
International Committee along with tons of help from our own, Mr. Harris Flax.

📌We hosted our First Ever Food Truck Event! We were able to bring the entire community together which is what the PTA is about!

📌Our Hospitality committee is so AWESOME! They have been “catering “ to the staff, from cookie exchanges, coffee carts and breakfast, luncheons and Teacher Appreciation Week! “A happy teacher, A happy classroom..” - Nicole K.

📌We brought back Watch DOGS this year, thanks to Chris Remy and AP Ms. Sanders.

📌We hosted a Middle School 101 Panel which was nicely attended.

There are so many other things the PTA has done over the year including Clothes Drive, Reflection Program, and organizing our Spirit Wear closet! Thank you committees for taking charge of those tasks!

Last but not least, this was our last meeting with Mrs. Sullivan. She has always supported the PTA and been there for us. She has attended all our meetings and is always there when we have a question or concern. She’s fast to respond and very professional in every aspect of her job. She will be sorely missed. We presented her with a card, flowers and around of applause for all that she has done for CRMS! She said a few words that made us all emotional...

“Being with kids is the best part of my day ... You have been amazing to me! I’ve been around this school from ground up, and I will truly miss it, but you will still see me around ..”
