Canyon Ridge's President, Nicole Korensky, just received some awesome news from the TEXAS PTA President, Lisa Holbrook:

Canyon Ridge Middle School PTA is one of 940 that earned the Head Start Award!! (YAY!)

We recruited 75% of last year’s total membership, we are well on our way to growing. A robust membership indicates people value what the PTA does for students, parents, teachers, and the greater Canyon Ridge Middle School community. You/we are also contributing to our joint goal of increasing membership by 5% which impacts our collective PTA voice statewide to advocate for every child in the next legislative session. Thank you and keep up the great work!

CRMS PTA needs your HELP! If we can get 110 or MORE members to sign up, CRMS will qualify for the Fall Membership Increase Award.

****By the way: Did you know that we 1300 students, and right now only 30% of parents are signed up with the PTA. So, let's go CRMS Parents and Staff, we need you to help us, to help your school and students! Membership is what makes Canyon Ridge Middle School PTA and Texas PTA strong! ****

The Head Start award emblem is a badge of honor, we take pride in receiving this award, and couldn't do this without YOU!

Leander ISD is partnering with the Leander ISD Educational Excellence Foundation (LEEF); Education Service Center, Region 2, out of Corpus Christi; and the Texas Rural Education Association to provide direct relief to the students and school communities impacted by Hurricane Harvey.

How Can You Help?
LEEF is collecting money to purchase school supplies on behalf of Leander ISD. For $10, you can sponsor school supplies for one student (details by grade level listed below).

These donations will allow supplies to be bought in bulk and shipped directly to Region 2, which is serving as a hub of supplies for those students in need across the Gulf Coast.

Leander ISD also encourages you to help in any way you can, whether that's donating to the Salvation Army, the American Red Cross or the charity of your choice to help those in need.

Together, as #1LISD and #1Texas, we can make a difference.
